Open or enclosed
Open transport is what most people choose. Your car travels on a multi-level carrier exposed to the same weather and road grit it would meet if you drove it, and it is the cheapest and most widely available option. Expect it to arrive dirty and nothing worse.
Enclosed transport — our covered handling option — puts solid walls and a roof around the vehicle. It is the right call for classics, exotics, fresh paint, very low ground clearance and anything where arriving untouched matters more than the price.
Low ground clearance
Standard ramps will scrape a low front splitter. Enclosed trailers load flat on a hydraulic lift-gate instead. If your car sits under four inches at the front, give us the exact figure at booking so the right equipment is assigned rather than discovered to be wrong on your driveway.
Motorcycles
Bikes travel in a front-wheel chock with soft straps over the bars, compressing the forks slightly so nothing can rock. They use a fraction of the deck space of a car and price accordingly.
Before the driver arrives
Leave roughly a quarter tank. Remove toll tags, parking passes and everything loose from the cabin. Disable the alarm or hand over the fob. Photograph every panel in good light, then complete the Bill of Lading with the driver at collection and compare against it before you sign at delivery.
Vehicles that do not run
Non-runners are fine provided the vehicle rolls, steers and brakes, which lets a winch pull it onto the deck. Tell us at booking — it needs specific equipment, and a driver who arrives expecting a runner will not be able to take it.

How much more is enclosed transport?
Covered handling adds around 35% to the standard rate. Our calculator applies it automatically so you can compare both instantly.
Can I leave belongings in the car?
Carriers are not licensed to haul household goods and personal items are not covered. Some drivers accept a small amount in the boot — confirm with your coordinator first.
Do I need to be there?
Someone over 18 must be present at both ends to release the vehicle, complete the inspection and sign. It does not have to be you.
