White Glove Delivery

Carried in, unpacked, placed where you want it, packaging taken away. For items where the last twenty feet matter most.

Standard delivery ends at the kerb or the door. White glove ends with the item where you actually want it: in the right room, unwrapped, assembled if it needs to be, and with the packaging gone.

It is the difference between a delivery and an installation, and for heavy furniture, art or sensitive equipment it is usually worth the difference.

Inside placement

Carried to the room you choose, not left at the door.

Unpack and assemble

Packaging removed and basic assembly done as part of the service.

Two-person crew

Proper handling for anything heavy, tall or awkward on stairs.

Appointment windows

A booked slot rather than an all-day wait.

What is included

Two-person handling, inside delivery to the room of your choice, unpacking, basic assembly where the item is designed to be assembled, positioning, and removal of all packaging materials. The crew works to an agreed appointment window rather than a whole-day slot.

Where it earns its cost

Anything too heavy for one person and too awkward for stairs. Art and mirrors that should not be leaned against a wall unwrapped. Laboratory and medical equipment that needs to be set down level and gently. Retail deliveries where the driver is the only person your customer will meet.

Preparing for the crew

Clear a path from the entrance to the destination room and measure the tight points — doorways, turns on stairs, lift dimensions. Protect flooring if you are concerned about it. If parking is difficult, tell us in advance: a crew circling for twenty minutes is time taken off the appointment.

Combining with covered transport

White glove covers the handling at each end. If the item also needs to be out of the weather for the whole journey, pair it with covered transport at the booking stage.

Common questions

What does white glove add to the price?

It applies an 85% uplift in our calculator, reflecting the extra crew and time on site. You see the figure before you commit.

Will the crew take away my old furniture?

Removal of the packaging is included. Taking away an existing item can usually be arranged — mention it when you book.

Can they do full assembly?

Basic assembly of items designed to be assembled, yes. Anything needing plumbing, electrical or structural work is outside what the crew can carry out.
